This archive documents the indexing work performed on the earliest kernel of the city's Historical Archive, i.e. the fourteenth-century medieval constituents of the Diplomatic Archive. The Vicedomini were notaries appointed by the Municipality of Trieste, from 1322 onwards, to record every document of public interest.
